“Tough acid burners”“Recalling the decadent 90s era of Limelight”

RESIDENT ADVISOR REVIEW
Nervous Records’ latest signing is Queensyze, a Vancouver producer who makes pounding, big-room techno. The acidic “The Pretty Lights” is swampy and bleary-eyed, like a night spent at the Gorg-O-Mish afterhours club she often plays at.

Life Support Machine Review
Queensyze drops a royal edict of slamming techno on Nervous Records with ‘The Pretty Lights EP’
We love a bit of stompin’ Techno here at LSM and this EP is D.O.P.E! Try out ‘All I Feel’, a squelchy oldskool acid riff, hammering kicks and a huge epic Reese bassline, so full of raw emotion power and darkness that we can’t resist pulling out the Twin Peaks ‘black as midnight on a moonless night’ quote!
The title track is absolute big room mayhem with a tripped out vocal sample, perfect for staring up at lasers! We’re talking pumping acid a la Pump Panel (remember that scene from Blade?)
The intensity reaches a whole new level on ‘Rave With You’ with it’s snarling drop. This is Techno with a capital T, sure to get rotation from Coxy, Fitzpatrick and all the legends!
